I love my church because they give my life purpose. Without them I would be a lost soul in the world. The church is my family, and my family is very important to me. They have helped me get through and get past many hard times. Many of those hard times most do not know about. I am continully blessed to see my family (church) learn and grow toward becoming what GOD has chosen for them. As we learn we grow, as we grow we learn. With each other and GOD, that is real living.

I love my church because when we originally started the church we started with one vision and since we as you say reorganized, built a new foundation, our vision has grown to be where God wants us to be.  Our church family as a multitude of backgrounds, talents, but we all have the same passion for our Lord and Savior.  We all have a genuine love for each other and we can certainly count on each other when needed.  I have seen our Church family in hard times, good times, and we definately have many great times.  I love the fact that we listen to the Holy Spirit not a time clock. I love my church family so much because they are there when I need them.   I Love ya

I love the CoF because it's tight-knit, passionate, down to earth, blessed by the Lord, and in keeping with that, is led by wonderful folk who delight in the Word, following His Way, and striving for obedience-in-service.  Pastor John Leger is the most qualified of God's Authorized Agents (tm) I have ever had the pleasure of calling pastor and friend, and his trust in the Lord inspires trust in both him and Him.

I love my church because I'm a mess! Its true! Most people are a mess and they hide it. Since coming here, I've revealed more about myself to this church family than I really ever expected to and truly - its okay. I'm loved anyway. I'm accepted as I am... a total mess and totally in love with God all at the same time. Actually, most biological families aren't this open and accepting of people right where they are. Even my parents wanted to "fit" me into a certain concept. I have a theory: I'm a square peg in a round-hole world. I like my corners. If any of them need shaving down, God will take care of it. In the meantime, who says I need to be hammered into a hole? At this church, there is liberty. I can be who I am and God can grow me at exactly the proper pace, because no one here has an agenda for my destiny at this place. Its all about Him! Oh yeah and the Holy Spirit is given proper headship here! That's HUGE! And oh so gratifying! LOL ;-)

I love my church because most of my married life i have not lived near my  extended family or even my husbands so the church becomes my family.  We have older folks, middle aged folks, young adults, teens, pre-teens and younger kids down to babies.  We indeed are a family, we worship together, fellowship together, eat meals together. We enjoy each others company in the church building and outside.  We enjoy hanging out together when possible. We laugh together and cry together we help each other out like a true family does.

I love my church, because when we worship we don't look at the clock and say, "Oh! We don't have enough time for another song."  We just let the Holy Spirit take us away in worship to God, no matter how long or short worship seems to be.  It seems like every time the Holy Spirit flows through the church and takes us into Gods presence....and its just amazing!

I love my church because we accept each other as we are. We don't expect each other to be perfect. We know that everybody is different and struggles with different things but we love each other just the way we are. :)

Pastor John Leger

Your probably thinking, "Of course you love the church...you're the pastor!"  The sad fact is not all pastor's love their church, because the truth is the church is not the building, but people.  Reality is some people can be so difficult to work with, which leaves some pastors feeling disconnected from their own church.  In other words, the fact that I love my church is not a given!  I love my church because they are family.  If you are looking for a good group of people who will love you in spite of yourself, The Church On Fire is a great place to dig your roots down and grow!!!
